SCOUTS...for adventure!
10.5-14.5 years
Meets every Wednesday 17H30-19H30
Scouts are aged between 10 ½ and 14½ and make up the Troop, the third section of the scouting family. They work in teams called Patrols to enjoy many activities such as camping, hiking, climbing, canoeing, sports, cycling, archery, abseiling, expeditions, mapping, pioneering, obstacle courses and many, many more. Each Patrol is led by a Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader and Scouts get an opportunity to work on their leadership skills by taking turns at filling these positions. The aim of the Troop programme is to provide support for character development at a crucial age in a Scout’s life when s/he is faced with many changes, new challenges and decisions on an academic, social and personal level. Giving back to the community is also emphasised and community service is part of the Scout programme. Scouts follow the scout law and their programme reflects their motto: ‘Be prepared’.
